As we head into one of the biggest recruiting periods of the year, I want every athlete to remember this:
You do not have to be perfect to get recruited.
So many athletes step onto the field feeling like every pitch, every at-bat, every error, and every tournament could make or break their future.
The reality is that college coaches aren’t looking for perfect athletes.
They’re looking for athletes who can compete.
Athletes who can handle adversity.
Athletes who can bounce back after failure.
Athletes who are coachable, supportive teammates, and a great fit for their program.
If a coach is spending their weekend watching you play, chances are they already know you’re talented. Now they’re learning more about who you are.
So this summer, trust your preparation.
Compete hard.
Have fun.
Play free.
And remember: your future isn’t decided by one game, one tournament, or one weekend 🩵
