FIT SIS LUNCHTIME LESSON 🥜
Nuts are healthy…
but more healthy food is NOT always better.
A lot of women trying to eat clean start snacking on nuts — almonds, walnuts, cashews — and then wonder why their stomach feels bloated, heavy, or uncomfortable.
Here’s why 👇
Nuts are:
✔ full of healthy fats
✔ packed with minerals (magnesium, zinc, selenium)
✔ great for heart health
✔ helpful for blood sugar control
BUT…
They are also very calorie-dense and slow to digest.
Your body does best with a portion, not a handful from the bag.
Your target serving: 1/4 cup (about a small handful).
Eating too many at once can cause:
• bloating
• sluggish digestion
• stomach discomfort
• feeling overly full or tired
Healthy eating isn’t just WHAT you eat…
It’s also HOW MUCH.
FitSis tip:
Pre-portion your nuts into small containers or snack bags so you get the benefits without the belly ache.
Small habits = big results 💪

Today’s snack: red dragon fruit + cottage cheese — simple, refreshing, and incredibly nourishing.
Red dragon fruit (pitaya) is more than pretty color:
• High in fiber → helps keep you full and supports fat loss
• Loaded with vitamin C & antioxidants → supports skin, immunity, and recovery
• Contains prebiotics → feeds your good gut bacteria (huge for hormones & digestion)
• Naturally hydrating → great if you struggle to drink enough water
Now pair that with cottage cheese:
• ~12–15g complete protein per serving
• Rich in casein protein → slow digesting = steady energy & fewer cravings
• Contains calcium + B12 → supports bones, metabolism, and nerve health
• Excellent post-workout or mid-day snack to prevent afternoon crashes
This is how we avoid grabbing chips, drive-thru, or sweets at 3pm.
You don’t need complicated diets — you need smart pairings:
Fiber (fruit) + Protein (dairy) = stable blood sugar, better energy, and easier fat loss.
Eat to support your body, not punish it.
