Announcing Western Gateway Park and YBONC Foundation kicking off Gateway Bike Park Phase 2 Project! We're creating another fun outdoor experience for the cycling community. Thank you to project lead, Cory Cuisinot of Xtreme Outfitters Bicycle Shop!
Volunteer work days are scheduled for every 2nd Sunday of the month (Jan.-June), from 10am to 2pm, including a volunteer lunch. At 10am, complete waivers, round robin for work tasks by Cory, and lunch headcount. Volunteers need to bring gloves, rakes, gravel racks, loppers, hand saws, blowers, w**d wacker, tapper, etc.
We welcome volunteers, donations, and in-kind services/products for Phase 2 Project.
This Sunday's goal is to clear debris off trails-tarp-drag to leaf pile, pile down branches for burn days. Pin flag line for dual slalom, saw small trees, week wack & rake & pile, or ask Cory what else needs to get done. Dress for yard like work and poison oak, add dirt and re-tap where needed on pump track. Bring water, gloves, rake, gravel rake, blower, w**d wacker, loppers, hand saw, etc.
Location:
West Gate Entrance - Western Gateway Regional Park
18560 Penn Valley Dr.
Penn Valley, CA 95946
Please do not park under the oak trees closest to the dog park...for dog park users. They need 10-15 parking spaces on any Sunday.
