Being that today is 6 months since Melanie left us I thought I would give you guys a update on the life in the holmes household. We are all doing good. I believe the boys are thriving! Sam is throwing shot put for the pekin high track team. He is starting to make trips to colleges and learning about different school's. This past weekend we went to monmouth college and toured the facility with one of their football coaches. He asked alot of questions. He seems very curious. He still wants to see more. He really wants to visit Bradley, university of Illinois, isu, and he was invited to tour Lawrence University. My favorite part of the day was the ride. Sam and I talked so much. I love every second of it. He actually thanked me for being a supportive parent. In case you guys didn't know Sam now has his driver's license. This summer Sam is going to football camp and he want to try the wrestling camp as well. Sam is doing good with his grades. He has a 3.50 gpa
Trace is been wrestling all winter and going to tournaments this spring. A couple weeks ago he place in a tournament and actually won his first medal. We have a couple tournaments later this month for him to go to. May 6th we are going to the canton open. This summer he is going to a football camp and wrestling camp. Trace is a social butterfly. He has so many friends! He is always asking me to take him somewhere so he can hang out with his friends. Traces needs to pay more attention with studies.
Jonah isn't as busy as trace and Sam. His teacher says he has opened up alot more. Jonah is planning on trying to attend a cross country camp this summer and to try and run cross country for Broadmoor next year. He grades are doing pretty good except he is struggling in math alittle. He loves his times when Trace invites him down to his room to play wrestling guys. Jonah actually has a book bag of wrestling guys and carries a wrestling ring down there to play. Just so you all know Jonah is sporting a mustache
As for me. I have my good days and bad days. I tried to seeing someone but it didn't work. She was getting mad cause I didn't have alot of time to hang out cause of my busy schedule. I get alittle lonely at night when the boys are all in their rooms and it's just me and Penny. I keep myself busy trying to keep the house cleaned, keeping up on bills, taking care of the yard. The boys have been helping out alot more but still so much to do. Even with all that and trying to balance working a swing shift at keystone still is a struggle. Even with all that I still keep a good attitude and try to set a good example for the boys. We are planning a vacation right now. We leave June 2nd. We are going to Denver for a few days, then onto reno so I can bowl the national bowling tournament, and after that we are going into San Francisco for a few days. We will get home just in time to for the boys to start football camps
