🚘 10/10 We Ate - We Saw Stars - We were AMAZED - North Shore Eats Specials went on the Road and we found the BEST MOZZARELLA STICKS we have ever had paired with the most spectacular views!
🌠 We took a stargazing trip up to Province Lake in Parsonfield, Maine and what we thought was just going to be an enjoyable bite to eat before gazing ended up being one of the best meals we've had! I'm talking mind blowing delicious food at The Carriage House Bistro & Tavern 18 Mountain Rd Province Lake Golf Club Parsonsfield, ME.
🏠 First, it is a beautiful old carriage house turned into the Bistro after a fire in 2018 burned down where it had been. Now, I never saw the building that burned down but I cannot image a more charming and perfect setting for the restaurant than the current location! It is like an old time tavern inside, wood, loud and very inviting. We chose however to sit on the patio because it was a gorgeous night.
I started with a sangria for a cocktail and it was very refreshing, perfectly balanced and hit the spot. Now for the food..... 🧀 Mozzarella Sticks, OMG these Mozzarella Sticks I will be dreaming about nightly until I get back there. They were perfectly fried, nice herb buttery flavor in the batter and CHEESE PULL FOR DAYS, I mean these things might have stretched all the way back to Massachusetts. They are a MUST TRY and then get another order if you intend to share.... Everyone loved the pot stickers. They were steamed, then pan fried and very good. 🐟🍟 My Fish & Chips were EXTRAORDINARY. A nice beer batter, perfectly fried and a HUGE, moist and flakey piece Haddock and their fries are house cut and I would go back just to get a plate of them! The Mr got the Bistro Shepard's Pie (beef not lamb so really cottage pie, but that isn't the point) and it was luscious, meaty, buttery mashed with a dreamy gravy. Everything was spectacular and we are already planning our next trip up.
