Idaho Heritage Trust Announces13 Heritage Grant Awards Totaling
$133,723 in Inaugural Spring Grant Cycle

Idaho Heritage Trust (IHT) announces Heritage Grant Awards to 13
preservation projects in 10 different counties totaling $133,723 in funding and Technical Assistance. This marks the successful completion of the first Spring Grant Cycle, which was introduced to provide better access to our technical assistance team, streamline multiphase projects, create less downtime between grant awards for exterior restoration and when work can commence, and allow us to be more dynamic and responsive to the changing needs of our historic resources.

A full list of Grant Awardees can be found on the attached page, and IHT is currently in the process of updating the historical and technical information on each project. Visit idahoheritagetrust.org/explore/ to search for a specific project, browse by city or county, or see what historical treasures may be hiding in your own backyard.

The majority of grants awarded by Idaho Heritage Trust help fund projects in communities of fewer than 5,000 people. “Every granting cycle gives us a chance to make a meaningful impact in every region of our state,” says Chairperson Donna Woolston. “Being able to support projects in both our cities and some of our smallest, most precious communities each year is a unique opportunity and privilege.” These projects often have an outsized impact on the residents of such communities by creating new jobs, stimulating heritage tourism, increasing civic pride, and providing a unique window into Idaho’s storied past.

Since 1990, IHT has awarded more than $7 million to nearly 1,000 projects spread across the Gem State. Supported projects generally fall into four main categories: Preserving Idaho's Historic Buildings, Revitalizing Idaho’s Historic Theatres, Restoring Idaho’s Historic Main Streets, and Researching Idaho’s Archaeology.

IHT is now accepting applications for our next Grant Cycle, with the deadline of September 30th. Learn more about our programs and how to apply for one of our grants at idahoheritagetrust.org and keep up to date on all things IHT on our page. Thank you again to all of our applicants for championing the protection and preservation of Idaho’s heritage.

We've heard it many times: there's something special about visiting a TVCC campus or center for the first time. The support, the friendly smiles, the 90-acre main campus full of green space, the new buildings and dedicated gathering places for students — it's somewhere you can see yourself growing and learning in.

This summer, schedule a campus visit, even if you've been here before, and let one of our student ambassadors answer your questions and show you around the residence halls, athletic facilities, student resources, and more. Schedule a visit on our website: https://www.treasurevalleycc.edu/admissions/visit_tvcc.cfm

One of the highlights from our 6th Annual Killebrew-Thompson Minnesota Golf Tournament earlier this month was having Jim Bark join us. Jim is the author of Remembering Harmon: A Tribute to Harmon Killebrew — a collection of handwritten stories from former teammates and opponents that beautifully captures Harmon’s legacy.

Even more meaningful, Jim is generously donating all book proceeds to KTM in support of cancer research!

It was so special to have him at the tournament signing books and connecting with our community.

If you’d like to support KTM and celebrate Harmon’s legacy, you can purchase the book here: 👉 https://a.co/d/02DJ0RuQ

Thank you, Jim, for your generosity and for being part of such a special day!
