Sharing a message from Susan Whittemore:
I understand I can’t post, but this is a message to all the players.

As a parent of an Anna Maria Amcats football player, I am deeply disappointed in how this has been communicated.

Coaches ask these athletes for full commitment. They sacrifice jobs, time with friends, and other opportunities to show up for their team and represent their school.

That level of dedication is real and constant.

To be met with this news, without clear and timely communication, feels out of step with what is asked of them.

In your career you may expect uncertainty. In a university you commit to, you do not.

My heart is with these students and athletes as they process this and support each other through an unexpected disruption.

Hello families! The boys are hitting the road tomorrow around noon. I will meet them in Paxton for their pregame snacks. They will have fruit, Special K bars, uncrustables PB&J, cookies and cream pop tarts (HUGE hit last week!!), gummy fruit snacks, and cookies as well as water and Powerade.

*For after the game we have more fruit and pringles so far. We will need drinks for sure Powerade/Gatorade and propel are what the players look for and any other grab and go goodies. We will meet by the buses after the game.
