Our trap season is off to a roaring start!
We had 16 shooters last night with multiple 25 straights. Also, a sneak peek at this fall’s fundraiser, a unique Wi******er 24 12 ga choked for upland hunting with a straight stock. More info to come soon.

This last week the Long Lake Fish and Game Club lost one of its board members and greatest friends! Jerry Nenninger was a friend, a coach, a mentor, and a man that everyone wanted to be around. He was active with the club and always there for others. He was a huge part of the Long Lake High School Trap Shooting Team and was almost always the first one there to set up and the last one to leave. Every kid that has come through the program carries a fond memory of Jerry.

We are all heartbroken but thankful for the time that we got to spend with him.

We had a great time at the New York College Regional Trap Shoot this weekend. Nita Schumacher came in first for women’s and the team placed third overall. Even in spite of trials and tribulations that could’ve ruined morale, this team kept their spirits up and their smiles on making this an awesome time. A big thank you to the organizers with Finger Lakes Community College who put this together and our fellow competitors. We look forward to coming back again in the future.

Our spring trap season started today!! Yesterday’s snow was melting in the warm sun, and our shooters were hitting their mark. Nita Schumacher had two 25 straights and Zach Carter had one. Zach requested a traditional hat shooting as he was unable to do this for the first 25 he shot with the team and his teammates were happy to oblige. Cameo with our end of winter mascot “choke tube”, a reminder to always make sure you have a choke tube in your gun….
