Wanderers Sports Club has been in existence since the year 1974, and is affiliated with the Garden State Cricket League in New Jersey. The Garden State Cricket League is an affiliated member of the United States Cricket Association, which is an associate member of the International Cricket Council, ICC. Cricket continues to be our main sport at Wanderers, but we are also engaged in other sports, s
uch as dominoes, soccer, and bowling. In the last five years, Wanderers has won the Garden State Cricket League Division 1 title, Four (4) Times in the last six (6) years, including back to back championships in 2008 and 2009, and most recently in 2012 and 2013. Our fan base has grown tremendously in the last three years, and we continue to have the largest fan base of all the teams in the Garden State Cricket League, for both divisions 1 and 2. We have a very proud record of producing players who proceed to attain State and National honors. A few players, who have represented at the national level are Carl Wright, Orlando Baker, and Damaine Sangster, for the USA Men’s senior team, while Mital Patel and Rishi Patel represented for the USA U-19 and U-17 team respectively. It is our ultimate goal to develop our junior members, so that we can comfortably field another team in the Garden State Cricket League Division 2, to ensure that our numbers are always healthy. Juniors are a vital part of the club, as they are the future and strength of the club in years to come.
