Looking for a fun way to keep your child active this summer? Join us this Sunday for Summer Sundays at the Licking Heights Middle School Football Field from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM!


Hosted by our LHYSL President, Football Directors, and coaching staff, this FREE football clinic is designed to introduce young athletes to the game of football in a fun, positive, and welcoming environment.


Summer Sundays focuses on:
🏈 Football fundamentals and skill development
💪 Conditioning and staying active during the summer
🤝 Building friendships and teamwork
😊 Having fun while learning the game


Whether your child is brand new to football or already loves the sport, this is a great opportunity to get outside, meet coaches and players, ask questions, and experience what LHYSL football is all about.


Bring a friend or two and come join the fun!

No registration is required—just bring athletic shoes, water, and a great attitude.

We look forward to seeing everyone this Sunday!

🏈FLASHBACK FRIDAY 🏈

This week we’re proud to spotlight

Fred Saunders IV, Class of 2026!

Fred spent 3 years playing for LHYSL, competing on Junior White, Senior Maroon, and the Senior Gold All-Star Team. Along the way, he developed into a standout lineman and a leader who continued to give back to each new generation of Hornets.

His favorite memory was competing with the Senior Gold All-Star Team at the Gridiron Classic, where the defense allowed just one touchdown before the championship game.

Fred’s advice to our current players: “Work harder and enjoy every moment because time flies.”

Thank you, Fred, for representing LHYSL with pride and for showing what it means to be a Hornet. Once a Hornet, always a Hornet! 💛🤍

We received this note from a LHYSL parent today, and it’s a great reminder that youth sports are about so much more than wins and losses. They’re about building confidence, friendships, character, and creating a community where kids can thrive.

Thank you to all of our coaches, volunteers, and families who make LHYSL such a special place for young athletes. We are proud to be part of so many incredible journeys.

🏈 Flag Football Season May Be Over… But Football Season Isn’t! 🏈

Thank you to all of our players, coaches, and families for an amazing spring flag football season. We loved watching our young athletes learn new skills, build confidence, make friends, and fall in love with the game.

Now it’s time for the next step!

If your athlete enjoyed flag football, we invite them to continue their football journey this fall with LHYSL Tackle Football. The skills they’ve developed this spring provide a great foundation as they continue to grow as players and teammates.
