🚨 On the fence about One Shot FRECO tomorrow? 🚨
We've heard from a few people that they're hesitant to register because of the Greco portion.
Respectfully... we think Greco has developed a reputation that's a little scarier than reality. 😏
Freestyle is really just folkstyle's adventurous cousin. If you've wrestled folkstyle, you can absolutely survive a freestyle match.
And Greco? Sure, it's different. But it's not a mythical creature hiding under the mat waiting to ruin your day.
So here's our challenge:
🥇 AM Session wrestlers: Come at 7:30 AM and jump into warm-ups.
🥇 PM Session wrestlers: Come at 11:00 AM and do the same.
Roll around. Try some Greco. Work with kids who have been training it this spring. Ask questions. Have some fun.
Then ask yourself:
"Can I make it through one Greco match?"
Honestly? You probably can.
If, after warm-ups, you decide you're ready to give it a shot, we'll allow on-site registration before wrestling begins.
And if you're reading this thinking, "Wow... maybe I am overthinking this," you could skip the warm-up experiment entirely and just register. 😎
The goal of One Shot FRECO has always been to grow both styles and encourage wrestlers to step outside their comfort zones. Nobody gets better by staying where they're comfortable.
Worst case? You learn something new.
Best case? You discover Greco isn't nearly as scary as everyone says it is.
Either way, we think you'll be glad you showed up. 💪🔥
