Congratulations to Captain Alexandria Aburto, and her team “In cahoots” for winning third place in the 2026 Las Vegas National UPA championships 🏆 These guys fought so hard despite the setbacks and challenges they faced through the season and during nationals! Huge thank you to Roberto and Sean for driving up from California last minute to save the team from the last-minute challenges that they faced. Pool is always a sport that requires team effort, focus and camaraderie. Las Vegas nationals is always a place that challenges that and bonds players for life.🎱🏆♥️

🌟 Volunteer Opportunity: Member Appreciation Coordinator 🌟

At Los Angeles County UPA, we’re more than just a pool league—we’re a community. We’re looking for one volunteer to serve as our Member Appreciation Coordinator and help make our members feel seen, valued, and appreciated throughout the season.

Responsibilities include:
🎉 Keeping track of member birthdays.
🎂 Posting birthday wishes in our league group.
🎈 Helping organize simple birthday celebrations when possible.
💙 Recognizing member milestones, achievements, and other special occasions.
🤝 Working with me to help create a fun, welcoming, and supportive league environment.

To make the role easy, I will provide the Member Appreciation Coordinator with an official list of all current league members and their birthdays, so there’s no need to keep track of that information on your own.

This is a volunteer leadership position, so there is no financial compensation. However, it is a meaningful role that helps strengthen our league family and reminds our members that they are appreciated.

As a token of our gratitude, the Member Appreciation Coordinator will receive:
🏅 Special recognition during our End-of-Season Awards & Payout Party
📜 A Certificate of Appreciation recognizing their volunteer service
🎁 A small thank-you gift (budget permitting) as a token of our appreciation
