Today, I officially became a USDF Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medalist. 🥇🥈🥉
This achievement has been years in the making, and it’s difficult to put into words what it means to finally reach this milestone.
The road to the Gold Medal was anything but easy. It was filled with early mornings, late nights, setbacks, disappointments, moments of self-doubt, and countless hours in the saddle. There were times I questioned whether I’d ever get here, but I kept showing up. One ride, one lesson, one competition at a time.
This journey has taught me that success isn’t about perfection. It’s about resilience, patience, and trusting the process even when progress feels slow.
I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way. My trainers, mentors, owners, friends, family, and everyone who has believed in me through both the highs and the lows. It truly takes a village, and I wouldn’t be here without all of you.
Especially to my trainer, Sara Storch-Kay Dressage, for her unwavering guidance, knowledge, and belief in me throughout this journey. Thank you for challenging me to become a better rider every day and for helping me achieve a dream that once felt so far away.
Most of all, I’m thankful for the incredible horses who have trusted me and taught me so much. They are the true athletes, and this accomplishment belongs to them just as much as it does to me.
While earning my Gold Medal is a dream come true, it doesn’t feel like the finish line. It feels like the beginning of an exciting new chapter! This weekend was a perfect reminder of that as Habi stepped into a big show atmosphere at First Level and handled it like an absolute champion. Watching his confidence continue to grow was every bit as rewarding, and it makes me even more excited for what’s ahead. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow as a rider, trainer, and coach while helping other horse-and-rider partnerships pursue their own goals along the way.
