16 of 26 active college football alumni came back last week to help current players (24) & parents with the recruiting process. 33 alumni will play college/NFL football this Fall.

🏈 SPECIALISTS. COMPETE. HERE. 🏈

For the 13th straight year, Maine South High School Football was proud to host the Kohl’s Midwest Spring Showcase on May 10, 2026 — welcoming more than 130 Kickers, Punters and Long Snappers from 18 different states to Park Ridge and Wilson Field.

From sunrise check-ins to booming punts, laser snaps and clutch field goals, the talent, energy and competition level were outstanding all day long.

A huge thank you to Kohl’s Professional Camps, the athletes, families, coaches, evaluators and volunteers who continue making this one of the premier specialist showcases in the Midwest.

The future of special teams football was on display at Maine South. 💥

Congratulations to LB Nick Hachigian (Dayton), RB Niko Kokosioulis (Valpo), DL David Piotrowski (Dayton), LB Gavin Smith (DePauw) and WR Carmine Ziga (Elmhurst) in addition to CB Santino Bernabei (Illinois State) prior signing. Congratulations to our Varsity Hawks and especially its Seniors on a spectacular 10-2 season! While we always wish we ended the season with a win, you boys provided great examples of resilience, teamwork and toughness for your underclass players to follow. Pull your shoulders back, head up and forward, and put a big smile on your face as you embark on your next chapter. Your community, school, coaches and classmates are all very proud of you. Go Hawks!!

Sometimes you get punched in the mouth, and then sometimes you have to punch back. 33-29 Hawks won in the 2nd half after being reminded at halftime to play as a Team and just do your job.

Hawks scored 27 in that half with physicality and brought the JUICE!!

MS vs Oswego 1 PM Saturday, Nov 15 on Wilson Field. Let’s Go Hawks!

Hawks are 9-1 and heading to Hinsdale Central this Saturday at 1 PM in the 2nd round of the IHSA 8A playoffs.

Our Parents Committee wants to give another HUGE shoutout to all of corporate sponsors - including dozens of others who donated to last night’s MSFB banquet - for supporting our top tier program, it’s 4 teams of players and coaches, and our entire community.

Let’s support our Varsity team during these playoffs as it plays each game like it’s their last and hopefully brings the juice and a WIN 4 more times!!
