🌟 After 21 years of dedicated service to the Village of Park Forest, Director of Economic Development and Planning Sandra Zoellner is retiring.

Throughout her career, Sandra has helped shape policies, support local businesses, strengthen neighborhoods, and champion initiatives that improve residents' quality of life. Her work has always been guided by a simple but powerful belief: putting people first.

From helping build Park Forest’s economic development efforts from the ground up to leading the department through years of growth and change, Sandra’s impact is evident throughout the community. Her commitment, compassion, and leadership have left a lasting mark on Park Forest.

As she begins this next chapter, the Village thanks Sandra for more than two decades of service and wishes her and her family all the best in retirement. 💙

Memories!

Earl & I are adjusting somewhat (2 weeks into retirement ). Yes we miss the gym, but we miss the members and business neighbors even more. I woke up this morning - thinking - Earl will be going on 80 in Aug. WOW- that means he has been involved with weights for 65 years in one way or another, --/ High School ; Navy; Policeman; and Federal Service. During his other careers - (he had started Quality Classic) he was Training, had a Dog and Pony Show, traveled all over the world. So when he retired from Federal Service-he asked me "should we move to Belize or get a gym". I thought and I said - I don't know anything about Belize - "get your gym". I knew it was the next logical step. I am glad he fulfilled his dream. Right now - we are dealing with a couple of challenges - but in spite of that- he is drafting some workouts for us. We have to remember - what is old is new, and what is new is old. So because he has done exercises with and without equipment - he can adapt and be creative. In the future - we hope to visit the many gyms to see folks we have met over the years- in the gym world .
