About Rob Perkins
Rob Perkins is the Head Coach and Owner of Metamorphic Multisport LLC, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the world of endurance sports.
A veteran of the United States Navy, Rob's foundation in demanding environments began as an Aviation Rescue Swimmer, instilling a deep understanding of open water dynamics and resilience. This specialized training laid the groundwork for his extensive career as a coach and athlete.
With over 10 years of multisport racing, coaching, and volunteer experience, Rob is a true seasoned professional. His athletic prowess was highlighted in 2015 when he ranked in the top 5 of his age group among USAT Aquabike athletes in New York. After retiring from triathlon in 2017, Rob officially launched his professional coaching career, completing his Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification with the American Council on Exercise.
Today, Rob holds multiple, current multisport coaching certifications, including those from USA Triathlon and IRONMAN. He is also a WOWSA, US Masters Swimming Certified Coach, and an Adult Learn to Swim Instructor, showcasing his comprehensive knowledge across all disciplines.
Beyond his coaching, Rob is deeply committed to giving back to the multisport community. He volunteers his time and expertise extensively, serving as an IRONMAN event coach, USAT Regional Work Group member, USAC Official, and as the USMS Niagara LMSC Open Water Chairman Delegate and USMS National Committee Member. In addition to his triathlon coaching, Rob is also a strength coach specializing in barbell-specific training, offering a well-rounded approach to athletic development.
