Joel Storm and I went last year and had a great time. We rented a pair of BMW 650's from the event rental vendor. They came with mostly street tires that were totally unsuitable. This year we are shipping our own.

Jimmy Lewis is holding a class March 19/20.

My current plan is to ship the bikes in Mid February so they are in Nevada in early March. Fly out for Dakar and stay 10 days to catch Jimmy's class and knock around the area. Joel works so he is planning on the last 5 days.

Anyone want in for all or part? Shipping is about 800 round trip per bike. Dakar event is roughly 300. Jimmy's class 600. Lodging is between 60 and 70 per night dbl occupancy.

Lodging sells out quickly. There is camping but that adds complexity.

If the are enough we could rent a truck and I'd drive the bikes out and back. Otherwise fly in/out of Las Vegas.

Pine Barrens on Sunday. Found some new to me places. This is an old gun emplacement and the view a little further down the road. There is a small swimming lake nearby. Temps in 40s and ice on the puddles. Great day.

Joel Storm and Glenn Johnson in the Pine Barrens friday. Came to a number of destroyed or missing bridges and visited an old factory site. A 60 mile day with 50 on far back roads or single track. You should have come.

A medium size group is meeting up Saturday at Atsion Station parking lot (route 206). Kickstand up at 9. Let us know if you are coming. Sand to deep sand. More sand. Good tires a must.

Joel Storm and Glenn Johnson are meeting on Friday at the WaWa 539 and Rt 70 (1180 NJ-70, Whiting, NJ 08759). Meet-up at 8 am, stand up around 9:30. We will be riding the White's Bog and area around the Gun Club. Generally sand/dirt roads. Infrequently there are more technical sections. Much of the Pine Barrens 500 used this area. Let us know if you are coming so we will wait.

The 11th Pine Barrens 500 is done. A great time was had by all. Those of you who missed it missed big. We had 175 riders over 3 days. Cudos to Joel and Mike who managed 460+ of the 500 real miles.

Moose was there with a semi of display product. Revit donated a riding suit to the raffle. Sign up early next year because it will sell out again.

The routes are generally public roads so you can reprise the event with a few good friends. Use good sense and stay off the fire cuts.
