Funston yesterday. It was too dangerous at the moment to go further South, so I turned back here at the Sharp Park golf course.

For those who have an irresistible urge to be a downer without knowing the airspace in detail, you can go up to 3000ft in this section.

FS: Exceptional condition 2009 Falcon 3 195 with low hours. $2,400. No wear holes, no patches, no sail flutter even. Some ice plant evidence on the nose. Sail off inspection a year ago. I just test flew it this afternoon after putting on new nosewires and freshly baked LE mylar inserts which both got damaged during a pack up.

Inspect your nose batten profile! I'm ordering parts this month. Modern nose battens are 13mm tubing and can't be fixed with tools that most people (or I) have available without breaking them.

It's common for the nose batten to be off profile on well used gliders. The issue is skewed more towards T2s/T3s, on which the majority I've inspected are off.

The way I do it is line up the front tip and first few inches of the leading edge curve and then see where the rest of the curve takes it, and the result is dramatic and obvious, as shown in these pics of damaged ones. The other way is by setting both the front and back tip onto the profile to check for a 1/4"+ deviation anywhere in the middle.
