That’s a wrap on another Carson Williams Skills Camp!

Thank you to all of our campers, parents, coaches, referees, and Owen County High School for helping make this week a success.

To our campers, we hope you leave with more than just better basketball skills. We hope you learned the importance of working hard, being physically and mentally tough, taking pride in everything you do, and always showing respect to your teammates, coaches, referees, and the facilities you’re fortunate enough to play in.

One of our favorite parts of camp is watching the growth from the first day to the last. Seeing confidence build, competitiveness increase, and a love for the game continue to grow is what makes this week so rewarding.

Thank you for being a part of our camp. Keep working, keep learning, and we’ll see you back on the court soon!

A huge thank you to Coach Devin Duvall, Head Coach of the Runnin’ Rebels varsity basketball team and Carson’s high school coach, for taking time to speak with our campers today.

Coach Duvall talked about what it takes to be a great leader, using the acronym L.E.A.D.:

L – Love what you do. Passion is the foundation for success.
E – Enthusiasm. Your energy and effort are contagious.
A – Attitude. You can’t control everything, but you can always control your attitude.
D – Discipline. Doing the right things consistently, even when no one is watching.

One of the biggest takeaways was that leadership isn’t about being the loudest person in the room; it’s about the example you set every day through your actions, work ethic, and how you treat others.

We hope our campers took Coach Duvall’s message to heart and carry these lessons with them both on and off the court.

Thank you, Coach Duvall, for investing in the next generation of athletes and leaders!
