It’s been a LONG day but as a coach, I couldn’t be much happier than I am this evening. Most coaches would be disappointed with tournament results of 0-3. These girls showed up, played up a division and competed today. We lost all 3 games by a TOTAL of 6 points, holding a solid 2nd year team, with an incredible pitcher, to a 2-0 game. Our roster included a 1st season player and an 8U player. Game 2 our girls were down 5-0 and came back to a 5-3 game. I’ll take a loss playing really good teams any day in order to gain the experience to make our girls better. Our pitcher threw all 3 games and improved as the day went on when most would have tired. She’s a beast throwing 71 strikes with 11 strike outs! 💪 Our girls walked away better than they were when they walked onto the field this morning! That’s a win in my books, we are moving in the right direction.

Tonight’s hustle award went to Ashlynn! Ashlynn is getting that “homework” done! Every week she shows improvement. She shows up every practice and/or game with a great attitude. This is her first season to play and she has already come so far. I have no doubt it’s due to her positive mindset and work ethic. Congrats Ash! 💙❤️🥎💪

Monday night we gave out 2 hustle awards and rewarded a HOMERUN!
Miah & Sloane both stepped it up in the circle when called upon, their offensive and defensive game was impressive. Miah has been the backbone of our team for awhile now and Sloane is fitting right in with an incredible glove at 1st as well as stepping in the circle when needed.

Piper had her first home run of he season! Congrats Piper on that 💣!

It’s always a great night when we have several things to celebrate. Congratulations girls! 💙❤️🥎💪

The hustle award from last week (5/1) was given to Cami & Remy!
Cami keeps us on our toes and laughing, a hoot for sure! She works hard every week and is especially impressive with her attitude and determination.
Remy showed up with a no quit mindset and really focused on her fielding, footwork and making great throws. Her hustle was on fire.

Tonight we switched things up on handing out the hustle award. We let the team vote rather than the coaches. The girls voted for Annalise. We all agree, this girl gives 100%, 100% of the time and a smile on her face the entire time. It’s not easy being a catcher on our team with pitchers who throw hard and a couple new pitchers who are still dialing those pitches in. 😉 I never hear her complain. This weekend we had a guest pitcher, not ever catching this pitcher, Annalise jumped right in without hesitation. She will play any position she is ask to play when not catching and does just as great as she does catching. Congratulations Annalise! We’re so proud of you kiddo!❤️💙🥎💪

Also, shout out to Piper for getting to the fields early for extra reps and to Remy, Ashlynn for staying late working on pitching and catching. The extra reps will make a difference! Keep it up girls!

OK Chaos went 2-1 tonight in pool play at the Lin Loy tournament in Claremore. Big shout out to Claremore Girls Softball Association for getting the fields playable tonight! The fields were in great shape despite all the rain that came in overnight.

Congrats to Mirella for receiving tonight’s hustle award! Mirella had a great defensive play by fielding an extremely hard hit to 3rd, followed by a great throw to 1st for an out. She also had great base running tonight! 💙❤️🥎💪
