With open hearts, please help us welcome the newest edition to our amazing teaching team🪷

Meet Nina Benson! Nina discovered prenatal yoga during her third pregnancy and has maintained a dedicated home practice for over 13 years. With a background in caregiving as a CNA and restorative therapy aide, she brings a deeply compassionate approach to her teaching. After completing her 200-hour RYT in 2024, Nina began sharing yoga with a wide range of communities—from children and seniors to animal-assisted classes and local studios.

Her classes blend slow flow, yin, breathwork, and meditation, often infused with creativity and occasional poetry. Nina is passionate about making yoga accessible to all, encouraging students to meet themselves where they are—whether on the mat or in a chair. Outside the studio, she enjoys time with her family, gardening, and caring for animals on her mini farm.

In a fast-paced world, it’s easy to forget to slow down. Child’s Pose (Balasana) offers a gentle reminder to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. This restorative pose helps calm the nervous system and releases tension in the back, neck, and shoulders. By resting your forehead on the mat, you signal your body to relax and release any built-up stress.

This simple yet powerful pose allows for deep relaxation, which is essential for mental clarity and overall well-being. As you extend your arms and lengthen your spine, take slow, deep breaths, allowing your body to soften into the ground. With each inhale, feel your body expand, and with each exhale, let go of tension.

Child’s Pose is perfect for moments of overwhelm, stress, or whenever you need to unwind after a long day. By regularly incorporating this pose into your routine, you’ll create a space for relaxation and rejuvenation. Take a few moments today to surrender into the stillness of Child’s Pose. What is your favorite restorative practice? 🌸💆‍♂️
