Congratulations to former Midwest Speed 16U Loftus (and current 18U National Tschida) player MEGAN KLOSS on her recent commitment to play softball at St.Cloud State University. It was an absolute joy to coach this team and Meg was always a key player in our success. From the moment she stepped onto our team as a sub at a tournament in Brooklyn Park, I was immediately impressed with her physical skills. She has tremendous range, athleticism, quickness, softball IQ, power and an absolute CANNON of an arm. Over the next three seasons I was fortunate to be on the field to see Meg mature into the kind of player that every coach is proud of. She became the teammate you can trust completely. On your best day or your worst, she is going to have your back. The first out of the dugout to celebrate achievement or the first to give you a hug after failure, Megan is that player. One of the things I am most impressed with is her leadership. Meg holds herself to the highest standard and always leads by example first and foremost. That said, she is the kind of player not afraid to hold others (and herself) accountable and call out poor effort when it doesn’t meet the standard. She stands up for what is right and is willing to play any position, play through pain, dehydration, physical discomfort, adversity, and sacrifice whatever is necessary to achieve team success. My Alma Mater is getting a good one and I can’t wait to see the next chapter. I couldn’t be more proud to have played a role in her development. A glorious opportunity for a tremendous young lady. LETS GO HUSKIES!
