The Oskaloosa Booster Club will be holding its monthly meeting this coming Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the 21st Century Room at OHS. This meeting allows members of the Booster Club and community members to come listen to Fall Coaches and the Oskaloosa Activities Department give updates with how the Fall season is going thus far.

The Booster Club will also be reviewing any request made from the OHS/OMS Activities Department and moving to vote on those requests. Booster Club meetings are a great way to come hear about the Oskaloosa Activities and how the Booster Club plays a part in that. We hope to see you there and GO OSKY!!!!

Summer is quickly coming to an end and Fall Activities are in full force. We want to invite you to stop by our table on Thursday (August 20th) during the High School Fall Parent Meeting. We will be there to answer questions and have membership forms. Hope to see you there!

Anyone else think summer went by faster than Usain Bolt running the 100 M??

As school activities start to ramp back up, we wanted to invite Middle School Parents to stop by and see us tomorrow night (Tuesday, August 18th) during the Middle School Open House/Middle School Fall Parent Meeting.

We are "sliding" into the final day before the Greatest Day of Golf and our "Resident Guru" on Wrestling and maybe Baseball (who is our HS Wrestling Coach) is showing perfect form sliding into Home!!

The Guru would tell you that form is everything when it comes to doing any sport and Golf is no different!!! Get those clubs out, work on that form and that smile, so you will be ready to slide in for the perfect round of golf!!! You don't want to miss it.

Reading and Basketball are some of his specialties, but Mr. Basketball also played football!!! We are not sure if he would be better at hitting the fare way or the QB nowadays, but he would tell you not to go in weak!!!

So, you only have two days to brush up on that swing because you want to make sure you are hitting the fare ways just like #2 hit the wide outs!!!

Mr. Runner himself (along with our amazing Cross Country coach) would "coach" us to stay focused, give it our all and push to the end and we will find success. While we don't need anyone collapsing at the 18th hole, we can't wait to see your best Golf game in 3 days!!!

So make sure you are hydrated, you do some stretching and no matter the pulled muscles or achy joints, you cross that finish line at the 18th hole!!!

Good thing that one of our Amazing Kindergarten Teachers (also our MS Softball coach) is around to help us learn to count down!!! We rocked counting 1-35, but the counting backwards is something that we may need to go back to Kindergarten to learn how to do?!?!?!

Summer has us thinking 6 days, but really it is only 5 days until the Greatest Day of Golf!!!! So make sure you can count to at least 6 for the occasional bogie and get signed up today!!!!!

Profesor Foster (also one of our Theater Advisors) had to spend so much time teaching us Spanish that we flew right past our 8 (actually 6) day mark!!!🧑‍🏫🧑‍🏫

However, we were able to discover that yelling "FORE" in Spanish "DELANTERO" might take a little more thinking if a shot goes astray!

Either way, you only have a few days left to perfecto your tee shot and look like experto!!! Get signed up today!!!

You might get a 3 on one hole and a 7 on the next; either way you still get the score of 10!! While most of us would love to get a 7 on a Par 5, Mr. Golf himself (also known as our Girls' Golf Coach) gets closer to those 3's on those Par 5's.

While he doesn't have to use his amazing Math skills to add up all those 7's, the rest of us will pray we come closer to the 3 than the 7.

Whatever your score may be, you only have 10 days to get your act together and get signed up!!! If you don't, you will be wishing you were as cool looking as #37 was back in 2005!!

Mr. PE himself (also one of our amazing coaches) would say that being prepared and practicing would be the key to any successful round of Golf.

Just like he would say to all those Elementary students, You Get What You Get and You Don't Throw a Fit!! So, you better make sure you are practicing because we don't want any meltdowns or fit throwing out on Fairways!!!! Treat all that equipment with respect!!!
