Happy Easter everyone! 🐣
I want to start off by saying THANK YOU to everyone who showed up for our team yesterday... With your support and donations we were able to raise enough funds to cover at least a full month of Local races for all of our racers! This shocked everyone from the parents of the team to the festival foods workers due to the difficult weather.🌧
Nonetheless, we perservered! At one point we had to close the window because we sold out of all the food and it wouldnt cook fast enough. We sold over 200 Brats, over 100 cheese/hamburgers, and 60 hot dogs throughout the day... 😵
A few special shout outs to give..
First, to the parents of the team for showing up with one thing in mind... team work. We had great communication and everyone did great taking turns on each of the stations(and maintaining the littles. Did i mention how cold it was?) The brat fry would not have been successful without each and every one of us there. 🤗
The second one goes to our oldest racer, Noraleigh. Nora absolutely KILLED the taking orders and cashing out customers. For a majority of the day and with little to no help she was our till girl. She handled it like a champ and actually enjoyed the extra math practice! 🥰
Next is her older brother Amanda s son. He was there listening to the orders, getting them all ready, slicing buns, and helping with the till among other things. If it wasnt for nora and his help, the parents probably would've lost their minds🤣
Finally I want to shout out our second oldest racer.... Aj.... AJ sold SOOOOO MANY brats and got so many donations.... how you may ask? "BRAT FRY!! GET YOUR FRESH HOT LUNCH OR DINNER HERE!" He screamed into a megaphone for HOURS. Everyone got a kick outta it... This morning his dad informed me he was still selling brats in his sleep last night...😂
