What a day for the Grand Valley Trap Club ! 11 shooters, 3 hours on the road, and 11 straight hours on the line at the WPAYO Youth Clay Target Invitational and every single minute was worth it. Our squad brought home 3rd Place Overall!

​Big congratulations to Blake, Tyler, Mason, Danzig, and Chase for all crushing 25 straights!

​Individual highlights from an unbelievable day of competition:
• ​Coleman: Earned an awesome 4th place finish in the 14-15 Advanced Class.
• ​ Chase: Battled through a intense 4-way shoot-off for HOA, taking home 2nd Place in the competitive 16-18 Elite Class.
• ​Tyler & Chase: Stood strong among the final 5 shooters standing in the Elite Oaklies event.

​Incredible grit, excellent marksmanship, and fantastic teamwork from every single shooter who made the trip. We couldn't be prouder of how this team represented Grand Valley today. Congratulations, team! 🏆🎯

📢 Grand Valley Trap Club – Fall Season Announcement & Open Registration! 🦅💥

We are officially gearing up for the Fall Season with the Ohio State High School Clay Target League and we couldn't be more excited to get back out on the range!

Registration for Fall Season is now OPEN!

Whether you're a returning team member ready for another great season or someone looking to try out a fun, competitive, and safe youth sport for the first time, we want you on our team!

🔹 Who: Current members, past members (that are still eligible) and new members interested in joining the team!
🔹 What: Fall Season USA Clay Target League competition and practices.
🔹 Where: Orwell Gun Club
🔹 When: Sundays @ 1pm until done. (additional practice available Wed/Thurs)

Trap shooting is a fantastic way to build focus, sharpen your skills, make great friends, and be part of an awesome team environment. No prior experience is necessary—we will help you learn the ropes and practice safe gun handling every step of the way.

Tough conditions on the road today ...

A small contingent of our team traveled to Columbiana County Fish & Game today to compete in the Beaver Local Shootout. While our overall scores weren't quite what we were hoping for, they still shot well - even trying out Platform Shooting for the first time.

• Chase aced the middle 50 (including 25 on the Platform)!
• Blake battled hard and worked his way down to the final 4 in the Annie Oakleys!
• Coleman found out there are no friends in Oakleys :( when Blake knocked him out in the final 10.

Proud of the boys for staying focused, learning new skills, and representing Grand Valley well. Back to practice this week to prep for WPAYO Youth Clay Target Invitational in a couple weeks. Thankful the monsoons held off for the ride home.

That’s a wrap on the USA Clay Target League National Championships! 🎯💥

Our boys put up a fantastic fight on a massive national stage. While the team shot incredibly well, we just missed the cut for the team finals—but the grit and effort these young men showed all week was second to none.

We also had some massive individual highlights to celebrate against the top 1,800 shooters in the country:

Blake fired a phenomenal 98 in the qualifying round to earn his spot in the Sunday Individual Finals! While Sunday didn't go exactly as hoped, making it to the final stage of a national tournament is an unbelievable achievement.

Blake also joined the elite club by running a 50 Straight during the event! 💯

Chase (2), Nathaniel, and Mason all locked in and crushed a 25 Straight on the national stage! ❌❌❌❌❌

Coaching this group is an absolute privilege. They represented our community with class, focus, and sportsmanship from the first target to the last.

Thank you to all the parents, sponsors, and everyone back home who cheered us on all week. We couldn't do this without you! 🙌🔴⚫
