Not a bad ending to a long weekend! Keaton ran a good race for the main and we’ll take a top 3 any day! Sometimes we forget that underneath these helmets are just tiny boys who still like to dig in the dirt, they’re not perfect but they’re bold and brave and still make us so damn proud! Our goal for Keaton this weekend is to have fun and enjoy his weekend with his buddies, not applying too much pressure and accepting the night for what it is. Fingers crossed for even better results tonight for all three of our guys!

🏁 Points Race #5 Recap 🏁

Qualifying: 5th
Trophy Dash: 4th
A Main: Started 8th — DNF

Contact with another kart on the very first lap would unfortunately set the tone for the entire main race. About halfway through, Keaton was caught up in a pile up that he simply could not avoid, resulting in significant wing damage, and due to being involved in two yellows he was not able to finish.

It was a rough night for our boy and nights like that definitely tug at a mama’s heart. But even though the outcome wasn’t what we were hoping for, Keaton still kept his head up, stayed positive, and showed great sportsmanship by celebrating his buddy’s win at the end of the night. Moments like that remind us that racing builds more than drivers, it builds character too.

No matter the results, this kid continues to make us proud every single week. One tough night will not stop Keaton. He’ll be back next weekend ready to redeem himself at the SRT Spring Challenge 💪🏻🏁
