And it definitely doesn’t define your future.
Tomorrow, some phones are going to ring.
Some players are going to hear from the school they’ve dreamed about for years.
Some are going to get multiple calls.
And some are going to stare at their phone wondering why theirs hasn’t rung yet.
If that’s you, please hear this…
Your story isn’t over because your phone didn’t ring on September 1st.
The perfect school for YOU might call September 2nd.
Or September 10th.
Or months from now.
Your offer might come after a coach sees you one more time.
After you have the tournament of your life.
After a roster changes.
After a coach realizes that YOU are exactly what their program needs.
Recruiting isn’t a race to see who gets there first.
And somebody else getting an opportunity before you doesn’t mean there are fewer opportunities waiting for you.
So when you open social media and see the calls, the offers and the celebrations, be happy for them.
But don’t let someone else’s September 1st make you question everything you’ve worked for.
Keep practicing.
Keep competing.
Keep sending the emails.
Keep showing up.
Keep believing there is a place for you.
Because years from now, nobody is going to ask what time your phone rang on September 1st.
They’re going to remember what you did when your opportunity finally came.
Your timeline is YOUR timeline.
September 1st is a date.
It is not a deadline on your dream !!!
