After a pretty solid morning/mid afternoon, as a team we decided to head from the lake to the river and had some bad luck strike. Lost all our bait.

After a phone call or three, Tony Geffers with TG Outdoor Guide service and Logan Bolen with Midwest Whisker Hunters were able to come through for us with some bait to save the night!

Big weekend ahead of us.

We will be heading to Beloit, WI to test our luck in a 24 hour tournament. This tournament has a special meaning, there will be a raffle at the end of the weigh-ins where all proceeds go towards “Take a Veteran Fishing.”

Twisted Cat Outdoors results from Fort Madison, Iowa

First time ever being on that pool of the Mississippi, pre fished Saturday and found some stuff that produced quality fish for us. The weather/wind had different ideas come Sunday for the tournament, wind made it almost impossible to fish the main channel of the river, pushing us to the back channels where we were able to luck into a couple smaller fish. Late in the day we tried to make an adjustment and managed to get the biggest fish of the day, as well as our 5th fish to have a full limit.

Not the showing any of us hoped for, but managed to find 5 fish to weigh in first time on that pool, learned a lot, and had a good weekend trying.

Month of may is quiet for us, as June rolls around we gear up for back to back weekends of tournaments starting first weekend in June.
