I don't think there is a single day in August that there isn't some event, vacation or camping trip on my schedule.
I have jam packed and over booked the month just trying to savor what's left of the summer.
Being an insanely busy mom of 3 with 2+ jobs, looking at my calendar gives me anxiety.
I have no doubt all the memories will be well worth the chaos. But, do you think I'll lose my s**t before the month is over?

Good Morning!

Several weeks ago my sister and I joined an informal group of club and studio owners from across the state. The purpose of the group is to work together to find a solution that works for all of us in the fitness industry in regards to re-opening our businesses safely and legally.

This group has organized a rally for gyms today, Monday December 21st, at 1 PM. The rally will be held at the Lane County Courthouse. Speakers include industry professionals as well supportive Lane County Commissioners and the conversation will be lead by Rick Dancer.

The goal of this rally is to gain support for what our industry has to offer as well as its value in the community and to start a conversation of re-opening our facilities.

We invite you to join us this afternoon to not only show support for our club, but the many other facilities in the state that have been closed.

In order for this event to be successful and our restrictions to be reconsidered we must demonstrate that we are capable of being safe and following guidelines. That being said, we must insist that if you plan to join us you wear a face covering and do you best to distance yourself from other attendees. If you are not willing to do this, you may be asked to leave the event.

We hope to see some of you out there today and as always, we appreciate your ongoing love and support.

Three years of business ownership in the books, and our 3rd year was a doozy.
No one could've predicted that 2020 would bring us a global pandemic, toilet paper crisis, killer bees, Carol Baskin, and much more. But what anyone could have predicted is that you and I would handle this treacherous year with class, patience and absolute bad assery. No doubt, because of the endless support of the other.
As I write this, we are in the midst of our SECOND business closure of the year and our 847th emotional breakdown. We should be in our club right now; celebrating our Fitiversary with our beloved members at our annual holiday party and taking our annual bathroom wall pic. We're not. And that makes my heart sad.
While our gym sits empty and our hearts are full of hurt right now, I know I can always look to you, my Big Sis, to guide me through tough times. To hold me together when I feel like falling apart. To make me laugh when I want to cry. To take my pain and make it your own so we can both come out stronger on the other side.
There is quite literally NO ONE I would rather be on this uniquely beautiful roller coaster of emotions with. Thank you for being my business partner, my boss babe, my confidante, my greatest support and my best friend. I love you so much and I cannot wait to make year 4 the most fulfilling year of business ownership yet.
