🏁 Chavis Motorsports | Lights Out 17 🏁
This weekend at Lights Out 17 at South Georgia Motorplex, The Warden rolled into the lanes carrying the Chavis name with pride.
With Jim strapped in and steady at the wheel, and Christy’s vision and commitment behind the program, this car represents more than horsepower — it represents family. Blake, Madalin, and Aiden stepping into their roles. Everyone moving with purpose. Everyone understanding what that name means.
This one was different.
It was the first time the Chavis Motorsports car lined up without Poppa physically standing in the pits. No familiar walk through. No quiet check-ins. No steady reminder to trust the work.
Poppa wasn’t just part of the team — he was the foundation of it. He built the standard. Preparation before pride. Discipline before emotion. Calm when it counts. And even though he wasn’t physically there, you could feel him everywhere. In the way decisions were made. In the patience at the line. In the confidence down track.
It truly felt like he was looking down — still guiding, still protecting, still leading.
And we did not do it alone.
We are beyond thankful for the ones who show up and stand beside us like family —
Nard, Jackson, Mook, Otis, David, Emily, Neva Chavis, Uncle Dennis,Robbie Salsgiver, Joseph Yoakum, Sloppy Joes, Jalen Burbage, JBR Solutions, Straight Line Media, Nitrous Outlet, Chucky Moultrie, B Fast, Jeramy Cook, KJ Films, 4EverGrudge, AJ Dean, Joe Joe, and many more we apologize if we missed a name , however we are forever grateful.
❤️Big Big Thanks to the man the God Father himself Willie Watson for kind words, wisdom , and encouragement. Most of All your love for racing /grudge!!!❤️❤️❤️
Whether it was helping in the pits, offering advice, capturing moments, making calls, staying late, or covering us in prayer — you matter more than you know. Racing may look like one car making a pass, but it takes a village behind it.
Above all, we give every bit of glory to God. Every safe pass. Every protected mile per hour. Every opportunity to compete at this level. We know none of it happens without Him.
The legacy Poppa built didn’t stop.
It showed up.
It stood tall.
And Chavis Motorsports will keep lining up — with faith, with family, and with the standard he taught us.
