💙🧡 OCPS Special Games 2026 🧡💙

Smiles, high-fives, ribbons, and so much JOY. 🥹🏅

Yesterday was all about celebrating our athletes from across the county—giving their best effort, cheering each other on, and having FUN every step of the way. Just look at those smiles… that’s what it’s all about. 💙

From running events to games and everything in between, these athletes showed what true determination and happiness look like. And yes… those ribbons were worn PROUDLY all day long! 🙌🎉

And we can’t forget the student helper race at the end—such a fun way to wrap up an amazing day! 🏃‍♂️💨

A HUGE thank you to Sam’s Squad Party Rentals for their generous donation of the inflatables—they were an absolute hit and brought so much excitement to the day!! 🎈👏

Another HUGE thank you to Woodberry Forest AD Matt Blundin and his staff for allowing us to host our event in their incredible indoor facility—we are so grateful for your support! 🙏

We are so thankful for everyone who made this day possible. This is inclusion. This is community. This is what it’s all about. 💙🧡

⚾️🧡 A DAY AT THE BALLPARK 🧡⚾️

Our Hornet Heroes had the BEST time at Fredericksburg Nationals Education Day! From cheering in the stands to soaking up the sunshine, it was a day full of smiles, laughter, and unforgettable moments 💙

AND… we even made it on the Jumbotron playing a game!! 🤩👏 Such a cool experience and one we won’t forget!

Opportunities like this mean so much—getting out into the community, making memories, and just enjoying time together outside of the classroom.🧡💙

We’re excited to share an awesome summer opportunity! 🐝💙

Hornet Heroes Adapted Sports Camp is designed for students on the Applied Curriculum (VAAP track).

For families who may not be familiar, this means the camp is geared toward students who benefit from a more individualized, hands-on approach to learning—focusing on life skills, communication, and real-world experiences. All activities are adapted so every student can participate, build confidence, and have FUN!

This camp supports physical, cognitive, and social development in a structured, inclusive environment with activities like basketball, biking, music, games, and more! 🏀🎶🚴‍♂️

🗓 Deadline to sign up: May 8
🚌 Transportation is available if needed
