What an accomplishment for these students. The middle school team 6062B has been invited to be one of the six teams that will represent Oklahoma at the VEX Worlds Championship competition in St. Louis April 25-27.

Over the next few weeks they will be revamping & improving their robot to get ready to alliance with and square off against teams from not only other states from the U.S. but from other countries as well.

Warhorse Robotics fans.....we're headed to Worlds!

We are excited to share that MS team 6062B has been invited to be one of the six teams that will represent Oklahoma at the VEX Worlds Championship competition in St. Louis April 25-27.

Over the next few weeks they will be revamping & improving their robot to get ready to alliance with and square off against teams from not only other states from the US but from other countries as well.

This will be a great opportunity for the team to experience robotics at a whole new level, but it does come with considerable costs for tournament fees, travel, lodging, etc. As such, we are extending our sponsorship drive and will have some fundraisers in the next few weeks to help cover some of the costs for Worlds and some additional costs needed to finish out the school year.

If you or your business is interested in becoming a sponsor or helping via a tax deductible donation, please click here: https://ezurl.me/otps-robotics-sponsor

Please join us in congratulating 6062B on their invitation and wish them luck as they prepare.

2026 State Championship in Pryor
March 13-14

All three Warhorse Robotics teams gave it their all at the state championship competition.

HS team 6062A went 3-5-0 in the Qualifying round and advanced to the Quarterfinals in the tournament round. They won the Judges Award due to their performance during the interview portion of the competition. NOTE: The team made the bold move of designing & building an entirely new robot in the 2 weeks since the last competition and while their record may not reflect it, the new robot did perform considerably better than their previous one!

MS team 6062B went 7-1-0 to finish 2nd in the Qualifying round and advanced to the Semifinals in the tournament round. They also ranked 4th in the skills competition which moved them up to 4th in the state for skills for the season. Stay tuned for possibly more news about 6062B.......

MS team 6062D went 5-3-0 to finish 8th in the Qualifying round and advanced to the Quarterfinals in the tournament round. They finished 10th in skills and 6th in the state skills for the season. They won the Energy Award for their enthusiasm, passion, and high energy throughout the competition.

We are extremely proud of these students and the amount of hard work, effort, commitment, and dedication they have shown throughout the season and are excited by the growth we have seen in the program this year.

A huge "Thank You" to Mr. Pruett for your guidance and leadership to the teams this year and also thank you to the Oologah-Talala Public Schools district, the parents, and our sponsors for the support this year!

Mr. Pruett & the Warhorse Robotics teams are headed to state!

The teams have put in countless hours this season preparing their robots for this, especially these past 2 weeks. Time spent designing, building, testing, & improving their robots after every competition. Mechanical engineering, programming, problem-solving, interviewing, & teamwork are just a few of the skills they have developed along the way.

Please join us in wishing them luck today & tomorrow as they compete for 1 of 6 slots to represent Oklahoma at the Vex Worlds competition in St. Louis next month.

School wasn't in session but a big thank you to the school staff for today's special sendoff and for their support throughout the year.

It's Groundhog Day, and Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning, forecasting six more weeks of winter.

That lines up well with our robotics season: with at least six weeks of competition ahead, and potentially more if our teams advance to Worlds!

We are in for an extended schedule of builds, practices, and events - the work doesn't wrap up soon, and neither does the need for support!

We're launching a sponsorship and fundraising campaign to help cover registration fees, parts, travel, and other essentials as we push toward the state competition in March and Worlds beyond. Every contribution keeps the team competing and gives our students valuable hands-on engineering experience.

If you're interested in sponsoring or donating, message us or comment below. We'd be happy to share details on sponsorship levels and recognition opportunities.

A big thank you to our existing sponsors for their continued support; your partnership has carried us this far into the season.
