I had a mixed bag of luck at Oologah Lake this evening. I was trolling for crappie and the bite picked up, but then my trolling motor stopped working. Luckily, I had my catfish gear, so I anchored and caught some catfish. I caught several smaller ones and kept a 9-pounder. Overall, it was a great evening of fishing

Yesterday evening, I caught a 16-pound blue catfish on Oologah Lake. Soon after landing the fish, my boat motor started having problems, so I had to cut my day short and make the 3-mile journey back using the trolling motor 😞.
