There is a county park, Sand Bay that is an excellent destination for spending an afternoon at the beach only a few minutes from the cottage. There is also a provincial park, Charleston Lake Provincial Park, which is the largest land owner of the lake. This park offers varied hiking trails for all experience levels. If you enjoy boating, we have a 20 foot floating dock to secure you boat while you are at the cottage. Boats can be launched easily at the public boat launch located near Kelseys Marina in Charleston which is just minutes from the cottage by land and then by water to Loon Bay, next bay around the corner. You'll also notice Loon Bay is a great destination for water skiers. It's also very entertaining to watch from the cottage's decks.
