Still deciding on classes for the 2026–27 season? Come see us in person!

Stop in to tour SIU, ask questions, learn more about our programs, and let us help you find the right fit for your child. In-person registration will be available, so you can get everything taken care of while you’re here!

OH. MY. GOODNESS. SIU SHOWED UP AT THE NEW YORK STATE FAIR!

We could not be prouder of these dancers and everything it took to get here.

🏆 Morgan Vandelinder — 1ST PLACE!
Morgan competed in the Maxi Division, ages 13 through adult, and WON THE ENTIRE DIVISION, taking home a $500 prize! After placing third at the county level and continuing to advance through round after round, she finished on TOP at the state level!

⭐ Kaiya Goins — 6th out of 35 in the STATE!

⭐ Evelynn White — 6th overall in the STATE!

SIU entered six routines. THREE made it all the way to the final round at the New York State Fair.

The countdown is ON. Studio cleanup day is one way our SIUAC fam comes together every year and also means one thing….we’re getting close to opening day!

The last step is the art studio which is getting closer and closer to its finished look. Some art classes are already full, so if you’ve been eyeing one now is the time to register!

We’re getting every corner of SIU ready to welcome our students back, and there’s still time for your family to join us for the 2026–27 season. Classes start September 14th.

Whether you’re already part of the SIU family or you’ve been wondering if we might be the right fit for your child, our Open House is the perfect time to stop in!

Does your 2–4 year old love to sing, clap, move, and make music? We’re adding a brand-new class designed especially for them!

Tunes for Tykes introduces early music skills through:
💜 Singing
💜 Clapping rhythms
💜 Movement
💜 Gestures while singing

Thursdays | 6:00–6:30 PM
Ages 2–4 | Starts October 1

More interested in DANCE? We have options for our youngest students there, too, including Boogie Babies, Tumble Tots, and Broadway Babies.

Whether your little one wants to sing, dance, tumble, or try a little of everything, there’s a place for them at SIU.

Seven years at SIU and still dancing! 💜 We caught up with Lily for a quick Student Spotlight to hear a little about her time at Strike It Up.

Our Adult Dance Workshop Series is back with a class that’s all about having fun, learning some new moves, and getting out on the dance floor. No dance experience required!

🎵 Meet Teagan Smith, the newest addition to our SIU Music Department!

Teagan is now accepting students for piano and guitar lessons!

Teagan began studying piano and guitar at age 8 and currently studies piano and voice privately at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester. She also sings, writes music, and performs in SIU recitals and local showcases.

And because remember SIU- is about so much more than dance, we’re thrilled to continue growing opportunities for kids to find their creative thing.
