When Southern Championships Mt. Hood Community College was finished, we headed off to feed the team. Eating while supporting small, local businesses is our preference of choice. It was a new experience for many of our kids when we stopped at a local Food Truck Court. So many yummy choices and everyone found something they liked.

And our coaches get into the spirit of fun while modeling their new coaching shirts…Coaching is an investment in our athletes. Seeing them through the long, challenging practices, opportunities for improvement, celebrating victories, and inspiring them onto bigger and better things. Did I mention the early morning bus departures and equally early morning arrivals back at the college? Coaching never takes a break. We love our athletes like our own!!

Kiara is one of our lady distance runners. Whether she is running the 10000M, 5000M or the 1500M she focuses on the finish line. The weekend of Southern Championships, the thermometer was hovering in the high 80’s. The 10000M was extremely warm. It was a nice treat to find a spray of water awaiting the runners as they rounded the curve. We sure enjoy Kiara! Go girl!!!
