Do you’re moves have multiple layers of deception?

Or are you just hoping it works?

You can be deceptive with:

Eyes
Hips
Skates
Shoulders
Stick

But you have to pair it right to make a defender thing you’re doing something different

An issue I see with hockey development is coaches get frustrated with players for the on ice mistakes with out know the real issue is an off ice issue

The players that consistently excel are the ones that are the strongest most powerful most stable athletes in the gym

And steal these 3 exercises from me

1. Hill sprints x5 sprint up an incline full speed take 1-2 minutes of rest in between sprints

2. Double broad jumps 3x3 two broad jumps back to back focusing on pushing the ground hard while being quick

3. Pogo hops 3x8 focus on exploding thru your ankles and keeping hips and knees stiff

Do these 3 exercises every other day and you’ll see some serious speed gains!

I use the EDGE mental performance system to take my athletes mental game from 3rd line to 1st line

Comment “EDGE” for the full system

E - build the environment, how it’s looks, sounds smells, be specific

D- Design, think of a specific skill or situation to practice, the more specific you can be the better it’ll translate to the ice

G- Go time, this is when you flip the competitive switch, if you have nerves you turn it into excitement and readiness

E- Execute, run the rep full speed in your mind, through your own eyes, feel the movements and feel the success
