There are several changes to Oklahoma hunting and fishing laws for 2026-27 that have just been released.
Eufaula and Atoka now have a daily limit of 20 crappie. Boomer, Dahlgren, Holdenville, Purcell, Shell and Wewoka, along with all “Close To Home” waters, have no daily bag limit for crappie.
The special 18-inch size limits for walleye, saugeye and sauger at Shell and Bluestem lakes have reverted to the statewide 14-inch limit.
At the Blue River Public Fishing Area, the 14-inch minimum for spotted bass has been removed in favor of the statewide black bass limits for rivers and streams.
The Echota and Stunkard access areas on the upper Illinois River have been added to the list of Department Fishing Areas.
Those locations will now be managed under the regulations that apply to Department Fishing Areas.
The regulations define game fish as largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass; black and white crappie; trout; sauger, saugeye and walleye; white, hybrid and striped bass; and blue and channel catfish.
