How many 3-year-olds know that when they need air, they can calmly turn onto their back, find their float and breathe? đź’¦

THAT is what we are so proud of.

It’s all starting to click for Zoe Lynn. The repetition, the hard work and all of those little corrections are becoming skills she knows how to use when she needs them.

Watching her begin to calmly turn to her back and find that float on her own is such a huge moment.

She’s still learning, still practicing and still building consistency, but we can SEE it coming together.

So, so proud of you Z. Keep going, girlfriend.

If I could tell every parent 3 things about ISR before they started, it would be this. 👇🏼💦

1. A lot can happen in 10 minutes.
ISR lessons are short for a reason. Every lesson is individualized, intentional and built around your child and what they need that day. Ten minutes may not sound like much, but week after week, those minutes add up to some pretty incredible progress.

2. We’re not just teaching kids to swim. We’re teaching them what to do. If your child unexpectedly ends up in the water, we want them to have a plan. Find the surface. Roll to their back. Float. Breathe. Swim when they’re able. These aren’t just swimming skills. They’re survival skills designed to give your child another layer of protection around the water.

3. They are capable of SO much. One of the best parts of ISR is watching a child go from unsure to confident. Watching a skill finally click. Watching them learn to trust their bodies and realize, “I can do this.” That confidence, independence and respect for the water grows right alongside their skills.

ISR is never a replacement for supervision, barriers or other layers of water safety. It’s one more powerful layer we can give our children.

As an instructor and a mom, I don’t take that responsibility lightly. We’re not just working toward stronger swimmers. We’re giving children skills we hope they never have to use in an emergency, but could make all the difference if they do.
