The Rec League summer playoff champs. They needed to win twice to claim the title and they did. Congratulations to Ernie Sersen (manager) and his Ball Busters club. They won 16-9 in the first game, and then held on tight for a 14-13 win in the second game.

We now take 2 weeks off to rest up and get ready for the Fall season which will start Tuesday September 8th.

The draft for the fall league is this Wednesday, August 26th, 10am at the Hobby Bldg Event Room.

Schedule for Tuesday August 18th

8:30 Hot Wheels (1-0) vs Sultans of Swing (1-0)
10:00 Loser of first game (1-1) vs Ball Busters (1-1)

Winner of the 830 game will advance to play on August 20th in the finals.
Loser of the 10:00 game is eliminated
Winner of the 10:00 game will advance to play on Thursday August 20 in the finals.

Game 1 of the finals on Thurs August 20, will start at 8:30

On Thursday August 20, if the 2-0 club wins at 8:30, they are champs and season is over.
If the 1-1 team wins, there will be a 2nd game between those same two clubs after the first game, winner will be champ.

Good luck to all, and as teams get eliminated, remember there is a need for line players, so stick around if you want to play. We also need umps, scorekeepers and music people if you are able to help with that.

Congratulations to Manager Dave Bauer and his Cubs for winning the Fall Rec League championship. They finished in first place during the regular season with a record of 22-5, and beat Catch-22, 17-15 in the championship playoff game.

It is never too early to mark your calendars for an upcoming special event. The Veterans softball tournament will be held Saturday November 8th at the softball field starting at 8:30am.

If you are a veteran and want to participate, see the flyer in the picture for more information.

If you are NOT a veteran, please come down to cheer them on and show your support. Lots of event during the day, including a home run derby, and we will keep you posted as more information becomes available.
