🏀 Changes Coming This Week for 3rd/4th & 5th/6th Pickup Basketball! 🏀
We’re excited to announce a few changes that will allow even more kids to get on the court this week!
✅ We’re expanding from 3 teams to 4 teams, increasing our capacity from 30 players to 40 players each night! We’re looking forward to giving more athletes the opportunity to play.
To help everything run smoothly with the extra game, we’ll be making a few adjustments:
⏰ Please arrive early and be ready to play. We’ll be starting games as close to the scheduled times, of 5:00, 5:45, 6:30, and 7:15, as possible and will be mindful about staying on schedule.
🏀 Game Format
* 20-minute halves
* 2-minute halftime
* Running clock throughout the game
* The clock will stop during the final 2 minutes of regulation
📅 Scheduling
With four teams, each team will still play two games. The schedule has been designed so teams will either:
* Play back-to-back games, or
* Have just one game off before playing again.
We believe these changes will keep the night moving efficiently while giving more kids the chance to participate. Thanks, as always, for your support, and we can’t wait to see everyone on the court this week!
