The Tri-Valley Chapter of PIAA Soccer Officials had the proud pleasure of awarding three Sportsmanship Scholarship Awards for the 2024–2025 school year.

These outstanding student athletes have demonstrated great character, respect, and sportsmanship that make the game great.

The coaches, administration and student athletes of the Juniata County School District would like to take a moment to recognize and thank our PIAA officials. Without officials, our student athletes would not be able to display their talents on the fields and courts. We are grateful for their commitment to the student athletes at East Juniata and Juniata High Schools. Please take a moment to thank our PIAA officials for their time, dedication and commitment to high school sports.

Lost Creek Golf Course

On June 18, 2021, the Tri-Valley Chapter of PIAA Soccer Officials held its 1st Annual Tri-Valley Chapter Soccer Officials Golf Tournament Lost Creek Golf Course. The purpose of this tournament was to raise funds for the Sportsmanship Awards that the Chapter awards to one male and one female soccer player at the end of each fall season.

Taking first place overall, and receiving $50/player for their win, was the team of Rick Becker, Howdy, Lukens, Dick Hart, and Aaron Becker.

Taking second place overall, and receiving $30/player, was the team of Brian Price, Carey Stroup, Tim Stroup, and Steve Stroup.

July 14 - 17, 2021, the Tri-Valley Chapter of PIAA Soccer Officials staffed a dunk tank at Richfield Dutch Days. The purpose of this dunk tank was to raise funds for the Sportsmanship Awards that the Chapter awards to one male and one female soccer player at the end of each fall season.

Officials, official’s spouses, and carnival attendees took their turns sitting in the dunk tank.

In addition to the dunk tank, the a raffle was held and the following prizes were awarded to the lucky winners: (1) Liverpool soccer jersey ($125 value), Storelli goalkeeper gloves ($120 value), County Line Restaurant gift card ($40 value), County Line Restaurant gift card ($40 value) and a Buds & Blooms flower shop gift card ($25 value).

Thanks to all who staffed the stand, sat in the tank, participated in the raffle, donated items to the raffle, and threw the balls to help keep the fun going!!!!

Lastly, many thanks to the staff of Richfield Dutch Days for taking good care of us and ensuring we had a successful dunk tank!!!!!
