AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Tartan junior/sophomore duo Medved/Le finish as the 12TH BEST Varsity Policy Debate team in the state of Minnesota! They achieved a 2-2 record in prelims, ONLY losing to teams that were either Section champs or runner-ups! You best believe the Tartanites next year will continue to slay the competition 😈

AND that's not all! Freshmen Vue/Fisher from North St. Paul had some tough debates, but managed to finish with a 1-3 record at the State tournament and place 19TH out of 24!!

Guess who's back??

Tartanites came BACK to MN at the John Edie Holiday tournament right before Winter Break. We brought two teams who all had some tough debates, but learned a WHOLE LOT over the course of 7 rounds against teams from all over the nation. Both partnerships even on at least one round!!!

Tartan competed at the Washburn Breadbowl tournament this past weekend! At this tournament, teams were encouraged to dress up in Halloween costumes to celebrate the season and have some unique fun! Here are our results:

During the off-week, Tartan Debate had one brave soul decide to compete by herself at the University of Minnesota's HS Debate Invitational!

Despite this tournament being our smallest showing so far this season, it is also one of our best!

In the JV division, competing against 8 other teams and being the only "maverick" in the pool, Ubani placed 1ST overall in the division and 1ST overall speaker in the division!

*Maverick means debating alone, rather than with a partner
