Lester for Township Trustee

Lester for Township Trustee Val is running for Oak Park Township Trustee to support the work of the Township: Senior Services, Youth Services, Mental Health Board & Gen. Assistance.

When I retired a few years ago, I did so with a plan to focus my energy and skills on community service. My first stop was the Oak Park Township, where I was welcomed warmly and provided with many opportunities to serve. I currently serve on the Sr Services Committee and volunteer in delivering meals and in the Money Management program. I am energized by the work the staff and volunteers do everyd

ay to make Oak Park a more compassionate community. I strive to live the Township values of: Service, Community & Caring. I also regularly volunteer with Oak Park Regional Housing Center, OPRF Community Foundation and the Greater Chicago Food Depository. I serve on the board of Arbor West Neighbors (supporting Aging through community building & advocacy). I am currently Treasurer for Oak Park Friends Meeting (Quakers) and a past Treasurer of the OPRF Community of Congregations.
