Just a couple of important pieces of information for you:
Games: Tomorrow kicks off the first official games of the season. Please be sure you check with your coaches on what time you should arrive to the field. Please be sure your child has all of their gear and equipment. If your child is missing anything they will not be able to participate. Please be sure they have plenty of water too. I am attaching the season's game schedule to this email. It has also been emailed already and you should have received a hard copy from your team parent. It will be posted to our page and also our website.
Communication / Participation: If your child is going to be late or miss a practice or game, please communicate that to your coach / team parent asap. I have heard from a few coaches that they are not receiving that communication. As a park district program we have rules on how much participation time a child is to receive, however, if your child has missed quite a bit of practices, the coaches are allowed to sit your child out as they do not know the plays / routines. This comes down to the safety of your child.
Concessions: This season we will have concessions at both fields. Jesk Park will have Joey's Red Hots food truck, and Gingerwood will have their concession building open, however, if there is a lack of sales, they will be forced to close. I am attaching their flyers with their menu options.
Picture Day: Reminder, picture day is scheduled for Saturday, September 12th at Oak Forest High School in the cafeteria. The address is 15201 Central Ave, in Oak Forest. All Football players should be in their jersey, game day pants and gym shoes, NO CLEATS. Cheerleaders should be in their full uniforms. I have attached the schedule so please look at your team's time slot. Everyone must arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time. Sometimes we can be ahead of schedule, We will not be able to wait for any late comers. I should be receiving the order forms hopefully this week. Once I have received those, they will be delivered to the team parents to pass out to their families. I will have the cafeteria split in half, parents will not be allowed in the picture taking area. Coaches, you will be photographed as well.
Please be sure to have your child's order form completely filled out before you arrive. This will delay the process. You can put cash or check inside the order envelope and seal it. If you are paying with a debit/credit card, TSS photography will process that upon arrival. They will have a table set up.
Here are a few reminders to help make picture day run smoothly:
1. Be sure to have your order form completely filled out with payment complete as well. (This will hold up your child's team if you are not ready, your child will need to hand in their completed form with payment to the photographer)
2. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time ( we cannot hold up the photographers, the kids will have an individual photo as well as a team photo)
3. Be sure your child is in their complete uniform and jerseys are tucked in. NO CLEATS.
4. Most importantly, NO parents are allowed in the picture section. This can be very distracting to your child, we want to be sure the photographer gets the best picture of them
