LL State quarterfinals game vs Notre Dame - 3-0 loss - Not the ending we wanted but history was made with this team!! Final record - 17-3-2.

2nd Round of LL State Tournament - the team fought to beat Trumbull 3-1. Great team victory!

Hayleigh Young started the scoring by burying a ball that ended up on her foot inside the box.

Halftime score: NFA 1 - Trumbull 0.

Sadie scored the second goal by not giving up on the ball and capitalizing on the other team’s mistakes!!!

Third and final goal was scored by Brooke Bolles. The ball made its way to the back post where Brooke was waiting all alone and she passed the ball with composure passed into the back of the net.

Although we weren’t able to secure the shutout Ava Boenig made some big saves! The defense of Emily Tucker, Leah Burchman, Hailey Iozzia, Avery Quesnel, Emily Winton, and Hayleigh Young was outstanding.

Final score: NFA 3 - Trumbull 1
The ladycats are now 16-2-2.

First Round of States — After 90 minutes NFA was tied 0-0 with Fairfield - Warde. But they battled and ended up beating them after 4 rounds of PK’s. What an amazing victory!!!

Round 1 - Jordan Fabry, Chloe Green, Alex Tabilas, and Sadie Daniewicz scored the PK’s. Ava Boenig came up big with a sage in their 5th PK kicker to keep us alive!

Round 2 - Hailey Iozzia, Hayleigh Young, and Leah Burchman scored the PK’s. Ava Boenig came up big again with two saves!!

Round 3 - Jordan, Chloe, Alex, Colbie, Sadie scored the PK’s.

Round 4 - Ava was a dominating force and made two huge saves and then stepped up and made the first PK. Hailey, Hayleigh, and Leah scored the remaining PK’s for the win!!!!
Their record is now 15-2-2.

Colbie Gisleson buried a left footed shot to seal the victory and led the way with a goal and assist as the ladycats clinched the Eastern Connecticut Conference DI girls' soccer final with a 3-0 victory over Waterford. Hayleigh Young started the scoring with a beautiful bending shot and Brooke Bolles scored the second goal with a relentless pursuit of the ball and deflecting it into the back of the goal. Keeper Ava Boenig had four saves to preserve the shutout. Their record is now 14-2-2.

The team crushed it beating East Lyme 3-0 in the ECC tournament semifinals on Monday! Sadie Daniewicz scored the first goal with a beautiful one touch finish off of Emily Tucker’s corner kick! Then minutes later Hayleigh Young scored on a sweet crossed ball into the back of the net. Brooke Bolles assisted Hayleigh’s goal. The third and final goal was scored by Sadie as she persued the ball that bounced off the post. Hailey iozzia assisted Sadie’s goal but was inches away from scoring. Ava Boenig and the defense of Emily Tucker, Hailey Iozzia, Leah Burchman, Avery Quesnel and Emily Winton preserved the shut out. The ladycats are now 13-2-2. Next game is Wednesday vs Waterford in the ECC tournament finals @ 7 pm in Montville.

Great team victory to beat Stonington 3-0. Chloe Green scored first off of a cross from Brooke Bolles. Then Brooke scored off of a dropped ball by Stonington’s GK. Jordan Fabry scored the third goal with a header off a perfect corner kick from Emily Tucker! The defense of Emily Tucker, Hailey Iozzia, Leah Burchman, and Emily Winton preserved the shutout with a solid defensive effort. Goalkeeper Ava Boenig made 6 saves - two of which were huge to maintain the shutout! The win clinched the ECC Division I Regular Season title. The Ladycats finished the regular season with a 12-2-2 record. They will face East Lyme in the semifinals of the ECC tournament on Monday @ 6pm at NFA.
