The Safe Spaces Series is aimed at highlighting important conversations before dance events in order to change the current culture and make dancing safe and fun for everyone. We are hoping that by having these difficult conversations, it will become the new norm to set healthy boundaries and treat our dance friends with care and consent. We also are bringing in dancer instructors and to our area that most people don't have access to distance or finances. A lot of people do not have the ability or means to travel to big cities to have the exposure to higher level instruction or particular types of dance. There are many styles of dance that are only available in bigger cities and we would like to be able to bring those to our local community. Safe Spaces wants to encourage people to create performance pieces which will be able to be shown at our dance events. Thank you for all of your support and please contact me if you have ideas.
