The 1996 U.S Amateur final match could’ve had a much different outcome had it not been for a moral compass learned only through the game of golf at a very young age. What followed was golf history by a player who has laid claim as the greatest golfer of our generation.
“Hey, Tiger - You Need to Move Your Mark Back” shares the story of the greatness of the game, and also illustrates that success in life isn’t always about taking home the trophy at day’s end. It’s about doing what’s right for yourself, the game and your opponent.
The book also turns introspective, and asks the reader, “would you have done the same thing?” For me, it wasn’t even a second thought...and it cost me a chance at winning the greatest title in amateur golf and golf immortality. Honestly, it ripped my heart out. But it wouldn’t have been the right way to win the US Amateur and I hope you would agree.
I have teamed with the great writer (“Freddie and Me & The Caddy’s Cookbook”) to bring you a story that will remind you to do the right thing in a moment when it could’ve been easy not to. We bring you the ups and downs of an epic match, but the overarching message will truly impact you to the core. And my beautiful caddie that day (now my bride of almost 22 years), Kristi, has written a tremendous afterword as well.
I’ve just learned that our book release on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc., has been pushed back to June 1st, however, you can get this book before anyone else at movethatback.com and we will ship May 18 (that’s Tuesday of week)! I’ll personally sign it and send a limited edition ball marker reminding you to always .
It’s a great read for your son or daughter to help them learn or remind them about the importance of sportsmanship, honor and integrity in sports and in life.
I hope you and your family love reading it in the same way we loved writing it.
