Personal trainer work is often showing up with a ponytail and no makeup. πŸ’„ So it was fun 🀩 to have my daughter do her magic on me with her Seint makeup in this makeover that made me feel beautiful beyond my normal work days. A salad for breakfast?😳What’s up with that?
As a child I had LOTS of cold cereal for breakfast and oatmeal or pancakes πŸ₯ž and eggs 🍳 occasionally for breakfast. High carbs and especially packaged processed food is not the way nature - or God - intended our food to be. After doing a Whole 30 diet a few months ago, my body craves real food!! So what’s for breakfast (lunch or dinner, too)? Happy eggs atop arugula, mushrooms, and green beans from last year’s garden. The vegetables were cooked with sprigs of thyme from this year’s garden, and the whole thing drizzled with lemon shallot dressing. Bon appetite! πŸ˜‹ (No mushrooms πŸ„β€πŸŸ« were harmed in the making of this post, although the salad was devoured by the time I finished typing this up! 🀣). What’s for your breakfast today?

Today was a great day! 😁 Why was it a great day? Well besides working with awesome 😎 clients at the gym, I got to do a total body weight workout πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ at the gym!! Yay! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» After being out of commission for 10 days due to a nasty 🀒 arm infection, I was excited to use those arms for strength training. But did I sit around and do nothing for 10 days? No way!! 🫠 I could still walk 3 + miles a day even while my arm was flaming hot πŸ₯΅ before the antibiotics kicked in. When my arm was feeling better I did more intense cardio and lower body weight training plus ab work. πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ€©πŸ‘πŸ» By the way, do you know a lot of lower body work involves using your arms, i.e. dead lifts while holding the bar. πŸ˜‰ But working out most every day is my battery charger and energizer!! πŸ’₯ It takes a lot to keep me from my workouts. Did you know that people who exercise on a regular basis can get depressed from not exercising, and people who are depressed may alleviate depression from starting an exercise program❓ What motivates you most to stick with your exercise routine or do you need to get one? πŸ˜‰πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ€£

β€œExercise is the single most important longevity drug we have.” ~Dr. Peter Attia πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ’₯πŸ’ͺ🏻 I was taught not to do drugs as a kid except for medical reasons which now I could argue against that depending on the situation. We all age, but some will do it more gracefully with less pain and more energy. πŸ’₯ Weight or resistance training will make all the difference. A 50-60 minute total body 2-4 times a week with cardio the days in between is my drug of choice. Stronger more powerful muscles like these beautiful 🀩 biceps will serve my health and allow me to serve others with more vigor because of the choice to improve my health.
Little baby steps πŸ‘£ and commitment to physical activity can make all the difference now and all the difference to your quality of life now and in the future! 😎
