This post is well overdue and I apologize for its tardiness; it’s truly bittersweet. As the O’s season came to an end it also came to the end of its era. On behalf of the cross country program, I am excited to share a summary of our 2025 season and extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who made this year so special.

🏃 Boys Team Highlights

🌟 Conference Achievement: The Boys team placed 2nd at the 2025 Flyway Conference Championships at Rolling Meadows, finishing with a total of 65 points.
✨All-Conference Honors:
Logan Puddy and Kaisyn Schraufnagel earned All-Conference First Team honors, placing 5th and 6th overall, respectively.

Eli Hartwig (Oakfield) was named All-Conference Second Team with an 11th place finish.

Jackson Chapman (20th) and Kaeden Andrews (23rd) received All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Sectional Performance: At the D2 Sectional 5 in Portage, the Boys placed 12th out of 17 teams.
⭐️Special congratulations to Logan Puddy for running a personal best of 17:10, which now stands as the fastest boys' time on that course for the O’s!

🏃‍♀️ Girls Team Highlights

🌟The Girls team placed 6th in a very tough field at the Conference Championships.

Abby Wagner earned All-Conference Second Team honors with a 13th place finish.

Viollete Lange received All-Conference Honorable Mention for her 24th place finish.

👟A Season of Transition🫶🏼

This year was especially poignant as it marked the end of the O's era in cross country. It was a heart-wrenching day at Sectionals, but also a moment to reflect on the legacy and pride the team has brought to our schools.

I would like to extend sincere gratitude to the following individuals who have contributed to the successes of our program:

Today’s Fond du Lac Memorial CC Invitational

As we near the end of our 2025 XC season, the meets naturally become more emotional—at least for me! But genuinely speaking, today’s meet was **simply the BEST**, **better than all the rest**.

To everyone who was at the meet cheering and encouraging the O’s: **THANK YOU!** You witnessed our student-athletes run, for the majority, their best races yet! We know the job’s not finished and there’s still more work to be done, but there is also glory in reaping the rewards of hard work.

Rolling Meadows Golf Course, we’ll see you in two weeks at conference, and we’re looking forward to another chance at greatness!
